We are Bolton Motorcycle Workshop, who specialize in Service, MOT and repair of all makes and models of motorcycles.
We are a husband and wife team, and have quickly become Bolton’s premier motorcycle Service, MOT and repair centre.
Our goal has always been to run an MOT station alongside our service workshop, and we are pleased to announce as of May 2019 we are now a fully approved MOT station.
Danny served his apprenticeship with us back in 2014 and is a fully qualified Motorcycle Mechanic and now MOT tester.
Quote from the Editor of Performance bikes magazine
September 2010 “Russ is one of the best motorcycle mechanics around for miles”
October 2011 “Bolton’s master mechanic”
Our core business is the servicing & repairing of your motorcycle.
We are 100% passionate about making your motorcycle perform as well as it possibly can do, this is what we strive for and that motivates us.
Due to the large volume of motorcycle servicing we carry out, things like weak points or common failures on certain models are addressed with checks or by preventative maintenance, which in the long term will keep your motorcycle running reliably as it can do.
By reading this website and looking into the depth we cover you’ll know that this marks us out as being original and different to other bike shops.
We like to take on the challenge of restoring faith in customers who have had bad experiences at other bike shops with our friendly, open and easy going approach to dealing with you.
Having proved ourselves with two great five pages reviews of bikes we’ve built being featured in Performance Bikes magazine, not to mention countless happy, satisfied and returning customers and sales reps who inform us of being the most consistently busy motorcycle service and repair workshop, you know who to spend your money wisely with…
(Check out the servicing gallery for some of the makes and models we’ve covered)
Our workshop is set in the truly beautiful rolling hills of Belmont and with all the great biking roads right outside our front door, this makes for a great journey home to test the difference we’ve made to your motorcycle.
We also road test every bike we have in to further analyse it’s performing the way it should do, our fantastic location makes this much easier than riding straight into heavy traffic as found with most urban bike shops.
We honestly believe that biker’s who go elsewhere, haven’t visited us first….
We want to make you and your motorcycle to feel “EPIC” !!
Straight after leaving school at 16 Russ went to work as a trainee motorcycle mechanic at the biggest multi franchise in the area. Here he shadowed his foreman who had 35 years as a motorcycle mechanic, which was the best apprenticeship anyone could have hope for. He quickly gained his NVQ level 1 and 2 qualifications in motorcycle mechanics (which sit proudly in the workshop).
Prior to that he worked in a brilliant little bike shop where he used to strip C90’s and Superdreams for spares in his school holidays so he is familiar with the teenagers first small bike or moped too!
Russ now has 16+ years experience continuously working on motorcycles, as well as a year’s club racing under his belt. Over this time in the industry he has amassed a wealth of trade contact and if he cant help you he probably knows someone who can…. !!
Russ has worked for V&M road racing team, as well as several big multi franchise dealers (as well as some brilliant little ones), a motorcycle tyre fitter and on British Transport Police motorcycles.
Russ also rides to work everyday in all weathers and plays out most weekday evenings and Sundays on his bikes. He covers around 25,000 miles a year on bikes.
Vicky’s background is sales marketing and PR. She has worked for local publications including the Bolton evening news, the Bury times and the prestigious county lifestyle magazine ‘Lancashire life’, as well as agencies in Manchester.
Vicky previously set-up and ran her own bespoke gift shop.
She has put all this experience into building ‘Bolton motorcycle workshop’ from scratch with passion and knowledge.
Vicky passed her CBT in 2010, but realised she preferred being pillion, and much prefers the horse power her 16hh cob/Cleveland bay horse gives her!!!
Vicky will more than likely be your first point of contact at the workshop and is responsible for the parts ordering, appointment booking, invoicing and day to day running….as well as chief brew maker!!!
When you drop into the workshop you will probably encounter our friendly Boxer dog Betty, who will greet you with enthusiasm and scavenge for any spare biscuits.
We pride ourselves on our high and friendly standard from start to finish.
Come in & visit us – you won’t be disappointed!
